The American Legion is the nation’s largest, most influential, effective and dependable advocate of veteran affairs. Since 1919, Legionnaires have fought for the rights of servicemen and women. Today we stand as 2.4 million members with over 144,000 Legionnaires from The Department of Pennsylvania.

Post 626-Birdsboro was chartered September 22, 1922

Applying for membership: Complete membership Application (available at Legion) and attach a copy of your DD Form 214 reflecting honorable service (black out your ssn#).

►At the Post (Bar tender): $27 cash or check payable to “American Legion Post 626”.

►By Mail:  $27 check payable to “American Legion Post 626”:

Attn: Adjutant, 445 E Main St, Birdsboro, PA 19508.

Active Members: Membership cards are good for the calendar year in which issued, but the Legion starts the next year’s membership drive on July 1st every year. Renewal payments can be made by mail or at the Social Quarters.  Meeting dates are Posted in entrance (usually every other month on the 2nd Tuesday at 6pm upstairs).

Member of another Post? Transfer forms available at social quarters-attach a copy of your current membership card. (No money due unless membership had expired)
