Why Join?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The American Legion Auxiliary is the largest women\u2019s patriotic organization in the world. The organization supports volunteer programs that center on the three major areas: veterans, young people and the community. Through volunteering in the many programs, you develop leadership in your community, have the opportunity to educate the youth and advance the programs of the American Legion Auxiliary.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking\u201d side-by-side with women of all ages and different life experiences you make memories and build life-long friendships. The benefits offered by the American Legion Auxiliary directly and indirectly touch and affect the lives of all Americans.<\/p>\n

Auxiliary 626 <\/strong>-Birdsboro was chartered June 7, 1924<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

American Legion Auxiliary 626 Membership<\/strong>: A mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter or grandmother of an active Legion member, or deceased veteran who meets the Legion membership wartime service periods. Eligibility also applies to Step-relatives and Active Legion members may also be Auxiliary.<\/p>\n

Annual dues are $30 (and $4 for minors\/under age 18). Complete membership Application (available at Legion). Must provide proof of veteran affiliated ancestry.<\/p>\n

Meetings are held every month on the 1st<\/sup> Thursday of each month at 6pm.\u00a0 Membership cards are good for the calendar year in which issued, but the Auxiliary starts the next year\u2019s membership drive on September 1st<\/sup> every year; Renewal payments may be made by mail or at the Social Quarters.<\/p>\n
